Daily Crap 2008-01-16

  1. I wrote my paper for philosophy in Plan 9's troff. It started out as the worst paper-writing experience of my life and ended up just pretty low down there. My worst complaint is that there is no white space since every paragraph is preceded with .PP. I know that it will grow on me, like every other crap piece of software I use.
  2. I'm looking for a three-button, USB, non-ball mouse. That's three buttons, not two buttons and a scroll wheel. I had a three-button ball mouse, and I never wish to repeat the experience.
  3. I'm too excited. I should probably slow down, but I don't want to. With any luck, I'll have AllTom on Plan 9 before break. 'Course that means comments are going away for an indeterminate amount of time… but I'll get them working again eventually.
  4. AllTom is going down and probably won't be back for a long time. :)
