  1. You know what are cool? Virtual machines. I'm convinced that they do only what operating systems should be doing anyway (CPU abstraction, memory abstraction, device abstraction, … which of these is not the job of an operating system?), but I am willing to resign to the fact that getting to that ideal does not seem to be worth the effort.
